A group of young married couples are hosting a Valentine’s Day Party on Saturday, February 1, 2020

This event is for PUCC members aged 80 or older.

The party is from 2-5p.m., lower  level of the church.

Ed Gordon, award winning journalist and native Detroiter, will discuss his new book, “Conversations In Black: On Power, Politics, and Leadership.”  You don’t want to miss this conversation!  8:30 and 11 a.m. services.

Books will be available for purchase, get yours signed by Mr. Gordon.

Confirmation Class

Confirmation class begins Sunday, February 2, 2020 from 1:30 – 3:00p.m. at the home of Rev. and Mrs. Nicolas Hood III. The class is for children 12 and older who desire to formally join the church and introduces them to the beliefs, history and organization of the church.

If interested, fill out the form found in the weekly Sunday bulletin, and place in the collection plate.

“Inspiring Youth”  Mentoring Program

Celebration of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s Birthday! On Wednesday, January 22, 2020 (6:30-8:30p.m.), the Inspiring Youth Mentoring program is having a celebration for Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s birthday. This event is open (and free!) to current mentors, mentees and mentees’ parents, as well as other church members who may be interested in our program, either as a mentor or mentee.
The event includes food, refreshments and fellowship!

Also, we are honored to have as our guest speaker, Rev. Dr. Georgia A. Hill, a minister at LifeChurch in Southfield, MI and former Associate Pastor at Plymouth. She will be speaking about Dr. King’s legacy as a minister and exemplary man of God.
